Cassandra Monique Batie is an American R&B as well as soul musician and singer. She also sings. The accolades she has received include the Grammy Award as well as the Children's and Family Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She has been also nominated for the Academy Award. After growing up with her family in San Diego and surrounding areas her first performance was in religious services and later enrolled into The School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the school, she gravitated towards contemporary R&B and pop but was eventually drawn back to the classic jazz and soul vocalists she heard when she was young. Kai Millard Morris, who was able to catch a live performance of Day and then took her songs to Stevie Wonder's husband, was the biggest achievement. In turn, the Motown legend connected Day with music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day along in Gurvitz's Buskin label as well as Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, built up an online audience. Day eventually signed with Warner Bros. The song quickly heard at radio stations by DJs. The singer later became a member of Warner Bros. Records and began collaboration with Adrian Gourvitz, the producer on her debut album, Cheers to the fall (2015). It featured the track Rise Up that has since become an internationally renowned song of the social justice movement. Day was awarded two Grammy nominations. One of them was Best R&B Album. In 2019, she debuted her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album on the life of the legendary jazz artist. That same year, she was a part of The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), a biopic of Holiday's career. Andi Matichak has a reputation as an American actor. She made her debut in television programs like Orange Is the New Black and 666 Park Avenue and Blue Bloods. Her debut in film was when she appeared as Allyson In the horror series Halloween. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994, in Framingham Mass.
