Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally known professionally as Andra day is an American R&B musician and singer. It is said that the Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are among the numerous awards she's been awarded. She was also considered for nominations to an Academy Award. Andra isn't just an old-fashioned R&B artist, her blues and gospel roots are displayed in a way that is both effortless and beautiful. The album she released her debut entitled Cheers To the Autumn (2015), was hugely popular with the hiphop/R&B dance music genre. The album brought her a host of Grammy as well as Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017), her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack received both accolades. Amen (2019) or the song Make Your Troubles Gone Away (2021) along with a Golden Globe award-winning portrayal as Billie Holiday, in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2017) has helped build anticipation for the release of her sophomore album. Andra day came into the world as Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew up around San Diego and the metropolitan zone. Then she sang at church, and then enrolled in the School of Creative and Performing Arts. She leaned towards contemporary R&B, pop and jazz following her graduation from the school, however she later was enticed by classic jazz and soul singers which she was familiar with when she was a young child. Kai Millard Morris, who was able to catch a live performance of Day and brought her music to Stevie Wonder's husband, was the biggest success. This, in turn, led to the Motown legend connected Day with music industry veteran Adrian Gurvitz. Day's fans on YouTube grew quickly after she joined forces with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. In 2012, Day released her debut song Forever Mine. The song quickly taken up and played at radio stations by DJs. After joining Warner Bros. Records, she began working together with producer Adrian Gourvitz on their debut record "Cheers to the fall" (2015). The album also featured the single Rise Up, which was a popular song for the social justice movement worldwide. Day received two Grammy nominations. One of them was Best R&B Album. She also released The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, a concept record about the life and work of jazz legend Billie Holiday. In addition, she was a part of The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a film about Holiday. Andi Matichak was an American actress. Her debut on television was in series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut with Allyson Nelson in the slasher film series Halloween and its sequels. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd May 1994 in Framingham Mass.
